About the Role:
A busy medical practice in Melbourne is seeking a friendly and organised Medical Receptionist to join the front office team. This role involves welcoming patients, managing appointments, handling communications, and supporting the efficient running of daily clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors with a professional, courteous manner.
- Schedule and manage patient appointments accurately using clinic management software.
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and queries, redirecting them as necessary.
- Maintain and update patient records and files in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Process billing, payments, and insurance documentation as required.
- Manage waiting area presentation and ensure a clean, organised reception environment.
- Coordinate with medical staff to support smooth clinic workflow and patient care.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a healthcare administrative role preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-focused approach.
- Proficiency in office software and medical practice management systems.
- Ability to multitask, stay organised, and maintain confidentiality.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further training in medical administration is an advantage.
Salary & Benefits:
