About the Role:
We are seeking qualified Chefs and Kitchen Hands to join a busy and growing hospitality team in Melbourne. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a professional kitchen environment delivering quality meals and maintaining the highest hygiene and service standards. Both experienced chefs and kitchen hands who are passionate about food and teamwork are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and plate meals to high presentation and quality standards.
- Assist with kitchen prep work, cleaning, and organizing workstations to support smooth operations.
- Follow recipes and directions from the Head Chef to ensure consistency.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, equipment, tools, and storage facilities.
- Support senior chefs with ingredient preparation such as chopping, peeling, organizing, and storing food properly.
- Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and ensure a sanitary and tidy kitchen at all times.
- Comply with food safety laws, hygiene protocols, and workplace health and safety guidelines.
- Assist in receiving, unpacking, and storing kitchen stock and deliveries.
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a Chef, Cook, or Kitchen Hand in a hospitality or restaurant environment.
- Strong teamwork skills and adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good understanding of food hygiene, cleaning protocols, and OH&S compliance.
- Excellent attention to detail, reliability, and strong work ethic.
- Culinary or Food Handling qualification desired but not required for Kitchen Hands.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
