About the Role:
A leading childcare facility in Knox is seeking an experienced and dedicated Childcare Cleaner to help maintain safe, spotless, and hygienic environments for children and staff. This part-time role focuses on ensuring all indoor and outdoor areas meet high cleaning and disinfecting standards according to regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize all play areas, classrooms, restrooms, kitchen, and dining areas to prevent the spread of germs and infections.
- Wipe down toys, tables, chairs, high chairs, and frequently touched surfaces regularly and thoroughly.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum floors, and spot-clean spills immediately.
- Remove rubbish and change bin liners regularly.
- Ensure laundry duties such as washing soft mats, blankets, and bedding are completed according to schedule.
- Follow childcare specific cleaning protocols utilizing safe, child-friendly disinfectants and cleaning agents.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and childcare licensing requirements.
- Work Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for 4 hours per day.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in childcare or educational facility cleaning preferred.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards suitable for young children.
- Ability to work independently and reliably.
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including bending, lifting, and standing.
- Good communication skills and willingness to follow procedures.
- Availability for part-time shifts Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
