About the Role:
A busy and well-loved café in Bendigo is seeking a dynamic Café Manager to oversee daily operations, lead a dedicated team, and deliver memorable guest experiences. This hands-on role suits someone with a strong hospitality background, proven leadership skills, and a passion for quality service in a vibrant regional community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all daily café operations including rostering, ordering stock, inventory control, and staff supervision.
  • Drive high standards in customer service and ensure a welcoming, efficient environment for all guests.
  • Lead, train, and motivate front-of-house and kitchen staff to deliver excellent results and foster positive teamwork.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, OH&S standards, and company policies.
  • Maintain cost controls and contribute to budgeting, financial reporting, and sales targets.
  • Oversee menu updates, promotional events, and customer feedback/complaints resolution.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a similar hospitality management role (café, restaurant, or food retail).
  • Proven leadership and team management skills with experience in rostering and training staff.
  • Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and OH&S requirements.
  • High level of organisation, motivation, and hands-on customer service.
  • Solid understanding of sales targets, cost control, and business performance measures.
  • Barista and basic food handling skills highly regarded.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary: $65,000–$80,000 per annum, commensurate with qualifications and experience, plus bonuses for outstanding performance.
