A well-established regional workshop in Traralgon is seeking a skilled Motor Mechanic to join its busy, friendly team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair a wide range of vehicles using modern tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Perform regular vehicle servicing, oil changes, brake/tyre replacement, and scheduled maintenance.
  • Dismantle, repair, and reassemble vehicle components and systems as required.
  • Complete accurate repair records, parts orders, and job cards.
  • Provide friendly, clear communication to customers regarding findings, repairs, and cost estimates.
  • Keep the workshop safe, compliant, and tidily organised.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or similar trade qualification.
  • Recent practical experience in a workshop or dealership (trade-qualified or near completion).
  • Competency with modern diagnostic tools and automotive repair techniques.
  • Valid driver’s licence and work rights in Australia.
  • Commitment to safety, teamwork, and delivering high-standard workmanship.

Preferred:

  • Experience with hybrid and electric vehicle systems is an advantage.
  • Roadworthy ticket or interest in gaining inspection accreditation.
  • Customer service skills and an interest in upskilling.
